A Distinctive Outpatient Framework

A2 employs a specialized treatment approach, developed by Patti Anne McAndrews, that emphasizes building a healing environment beyond just addressing particular problems. Our method requires dedicated effort, extending past mere discussions. The treatment evolves continuously by incorporating diverse perspectives from the staff, clients, families, and any involved medical experts. Adolescent Advocates collaborates with educational institutions, medical centers, and care providers nationwide to ensure client success.

Assessment and Care Process

The treatment at Adolescent & Young Adult Advocates starts with a thorough assessment, including input from both the individual and their parents or guardians as needed, and is adjusted during the initial two weeks. We provide various care levels such as Partial Hospitalization for teens (4 days weekly, 4-6 hours daily), Intensive Outpatient (for ages 14+, 3 days weekly, 2-3 hours daily), and Outpatient (for ages 14+, 1-2 sessions weekly). Every client participates in weekly one-on-one meetings and can arrange family sessions regularly. Groups at A2 are divided by age, including high school, college students, and adults. Our bi-weekly community sessions allow parents and clients to collaborate. Treatment strategies are customized to meet individual needs, incorporating suitable age-based objectives.
